To get a free Charcoal, find the Charcoal's man Farfetch'd. Go to his house in Azalea Town and talkto his assistant. He will thank you for finding the Farfetch'd and giveyou a Charcoal he made as a token of his appreciation.

Make sure you are sending moneyto mom. As soon as she gets too much money, she will spend some. The third time she spends money, it should be for a Charmander doll.
