Groudon:
To find Groudon, go to the Cave Of Origin in Sootopolis City. It will be on Level 45 when you catch it. Groudon is a Ground type. Its ability is Drought and it summons Sunlight in battle. Its attacks are Slash: (Power 70, Accuracy 100), Bulk Up (Power -, Accuracy -), Earthquake (Power 100, Accuracy100), and Fire Blast (Power120, Accuracy 85). You canonly find Groundon in Pokemon Ruby .
Go to Cave Of Orgin. When you seeGroudon in one of the other cavesinside, you can catch him by usinga Master Ball or an Ultra Ball.
It is best to save the Master Ball because Groudon is a big help. If you train hard with it and then goto the Eilte Four, it should be a little easier.
Start with a Treeko and when it levels up, have it learn Solar Beam.Put Groudon as the first Pokemonin your party and it will use its effect. Treeko or its evolved form can now use Solar Beam without waiting.
When trying to catch Groudon in the Cave Of Origin and you do not have very many Ultra Balls remaining, use Timer Balls due to their efficiency. After a large amount of turns, they should be very effective and catch Groudon in about two to five tries.
Surf and use dive to find your wayto Sootopolis. Go up and to the left of the Pokemon Center. Talk toSteven and he will bring you to a cave. Groudon is inside. It is a Fire/Ground type and knows Earthquake.
Groudon gets weak later in the game. You may not use it at the Battle Tower.
Bring a lot of Ultra Balls and Revives. Get him to red health andtoss Ultra Balls at him.
Have a high level Pokemon in yourparty (for example, Blaziken at level 53). Have a Magnemite and Shedninja at about level 30 and three other Pokemon. Have about 20 Revives, 45 Pokeballs, 50 to 75 Ultra Balls, and 3 Timer Balls Attack Groudon once with Blaze Kick (or another strong attack). Switch to Magnemite and wait forGroudon to use Fire Blast. Keep using Revives on Magnemite until Groudon uses Fire Blast five times.Switch to Shedninja and use a move until Groudon has about 1 HP remaining. Use all Pokeballs, then use a Timer ball. If that does not work, use 20 Ultra Balls, then use a Timer Ball. If that does not work, use the remaining Ultra Balls and the last Timer Ball.
Groudon can learn Solar Beam without the need for the TM at level 65.
To catch Groudon, you need to have Surf, Dive, Rock Smash, and Strength. Go to Route 128 and dive at the deep water that is in a semi-circle. Go down to where thesemi-circle ends. You will eventually find a cave, If you go in there, you will see the submarine that Team Magma stole. Dive back up, then go up. There are two doors here. Try to get to the one on the right. Use Strength on the rocks. Then, go to the water. Surf and go down, then go to the right. Go over the currents and get to a door. Push the rocks and battle the Team Magma member. Go up to the other rocks and get to the door. When you get in this other cave, save the game. Keep going down and you will see Groudon. Maxie will appear and his blue orb will start glowing. This will awaken Groudon and he will leave. He is in the Cave Of Origin at Sootopolis City. It will now be sunny. Maxie will bring you outside and talk. Save the game after he finishes talking. Then, Fly or Surf to Sootopolis City.Surf to the left and go towards the Pokemart, but go on the brown dirt. Then, go up the stairs and Wally will talk to you. He will bring you to the Cave of Origin. Goin and use Flash. Then just keep going down the ladders and you will find Groudon. Save the game before you go in front of him. Then, get in front of him and the red orb will be glowing. You will now battle him. Catch him. If he faints, restart the game to get another chance to catch him.
After you beat the Team Magma leader in Mount Pyre, go to the hideout. Defeat Team Magma there (find the Master Ball and save it for Latios). Then, go to the seafloor place and get to the lava. The Team Magma leader will battle again. When you defeat him, he will shine the blue orb. You will be back up, but the wateris lighter. Go to the Cave of Origin and catch Groudon there.
You should have at least 10 Ultra Balls. When you are battling Groudon, first use a strong attack. Then you have at least a 90% chance of Groudon using rest. When it regains its health, go for another strong move then Ultra ball if it escapes. You will have to do this all over, but will probably catch Groudon this time.
