These games are the third generation pokemon games in Gameboy Advance. As it has more graphics with sounds and more gameplay. New generation pokemons are available and new features like two-on-two battle is available.

INTRODUCTION:-
The game starts like old game and there is introduction to the pokemon world. The introduction is by a Professor. Like old games we are every time introduced by Professor Oak but this time we are introduced by a new Professor (Prof. Birch). He's the new
professor, and is more of a field
researcher than a Pokemon
expert like Professor Oak from
the previous games. He introduces to you and as usual you select your gender (boy or girl) and then finally your game starts.

'LITTLE ROOT TOWN'
As in previous games, your adventure doesn't start from your bedroom. You are in a truck. As you step out of the truck you are near your new house in 'Little Root Town', a town close to 'Pallet Town'. Your mom talks to you and leads you to home. As you go inside, you see two 'Machokes' (Vigoroth in emerald) are helping out. Walk upstairs and you will see a clock. Press 'A' in front of the clock and set the time. Get 'potion' from your PC as it will be useful later on. Go downstairs and your mom will ask you to watch T.V as there is an interview of your dad in his gym but you missed it. Step out from the house and go to next door and enter the house. This is your rival's house. Go upstairs and you will meet your rival. Your rival is another main character in the game. Its gender is opposite from what you choose your gender, i.e., if you choose your gender as 'boy', your rival will be a 'girl' and if you choose your gender as 'girl', your rival will be a 'boy'. I choosed the gender as 'boy', so the rival will be 'girl'. Talk to her and she will leave. You will come to know that 'Prof. Birch' is her dad. You should go through this process or else the boy near the path will not allow you to go through the path. Step out of the house, and go through the path. You will see a 'Poochyena' is at back of Prof. Birch. You have to defeat this dog pokemon. Now its your time to choose the starter pokemon. You can choose them from Prof. Birch's bag.
You can choose 'Torchic', the fire pokemon, it can be a great partner for the new players. 'Mudkip', the water pokemon, its evovled form has a muscular look. And 'Treecko' it is sucessor of 'Bulbasaur' and 'Chikorita' from older versions. This lizard pokemon is strong but recommended for expert players.
The 'Poochyena' is level 2 and yous pokemon is level 5. If you lose to these pokemon, then you are weak. After you beat that pokemon, Prof. Birch will take you to his laboratory and give you the pokemon you choosed to thank you. At last you are ready to go!

'Route 101'
To the north of 'Little Root Town' is 'Route 101'. Go straight and you will see some grass. Fight some wild pokemon to get some experience. Exist from end of the route and you wii be in next city.

'OLDALE TOWN'
As you travel toward north, you reach to 'Oldale Town'. There you see a person standing between 'Pokemon Centre' and a house next to it. Talk to him. He turns out to be 'Pokemart' store owner. He will give you free 'potion'. There is nothing to do here except healing your pokemons. Then go through path that is 'Route 103'.

'Route 103'
If your pokemon is below level 7, gain your pokemon experience by battling level 6+ pokemons.
As you find 'Route 103' is a dead end. At very last of the route, you will find your rival. Talk to her and she will battle you. She has pokemon that has an advantage on your pokemon, i.e., if you select 'Torchic' as your starter, your rival will have 'Mudkip'. If your pokemon is trained well, you will beat her. She will leave after the battle. Go back to 'Oldale Town'. Heal your pokemon. Now your rival is at the south end of the city. Talk to her and she will go back to 'Little Root Town'. You will also have to return to your new hometown.

'JOURNEY BEGINS'
As you come back to 'Little Root Town', go towards south of the city. You will see big laboratory of Prof. Birch. Go inside. There, Prof. will give 'Pokedex' and your rival will give you 5 'pokeballs'. After that leave the laboratory and go to your house. Your mom will give you a pair of 'Running shoes'. To run press 'B' button while pressing the direction keys. Now you are ready to reveal the secrets of 'Hoenn'.
